Makaronitehdas — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

I went there with my child for lunch on Friday to Makaronitehdas Redi, food was as lovely as expected as I have visited Forum and Iso Omena. Pomodoro for myself and and Carbonara fir my child. 3.5/5 for food compared to the price.

Now the problem was with passive aggressive behaviour of the waitress. I understand Finnish and so asking every other table "and would you like something to drink?" But when serving me she says "and you will have only water, right?" shows huge difference in service. And she did ask me in Finnish so there is no language barrier there.

Another example of this was that the same waitress asked every person "would you like to have coffee?" after their meal, and for me all she said "you can pay there at the cashier!".

At first I thought it might have been the sport/basketball clothes my child and I were wearing as we were going to play after lunch, but when someone else came in who was not wearing very "fancy" clothes but was treated better than we were I could only think it was due the skin colour as were the only none-white customers in the restaurant.

This kind of behaviour is not acceptable! I have to report it as a previous customer service manager in a very high class company in the F&B where we served royalty and none royal equally as clients, and all received top customer service no matter what was their skin colour, clothing choice or language they communicated with. 0/5...

Saavuimme lauantaina ravintolaan klo 18:45, odotimme pöytään ohjausta mutta henkilökuntaa ei ollut näkyvissä moneen minuuttiin. Yli puolet pöydistä sisälsi likaisia astioita. Kun tarjoilija saapui hän selitteli, että on ollut niin kiire ettei ole ehtinyt siivota pöytiä ja "odottavat vielä viimeistä aaltoa" kun ovat klo 20 asti auki. Tämä oli täysin vale koska 19:01 ovelle saapuneelle seurueelle hän kertoi että myyvät enää ainoastaan ulos.

Ruokailun aikana kyllä paljastui todellinen syy likaisille pöydille, täydellinen kyvyttömyys hanskata tilannetta vaikka ravintolassa oli vain 6 henkeä. Tarjoilija selitteli kolmelle seurueelle samat virret kuinka hänellä on kädet niin täynnä ettei kerkeä siivota. En tiedä mitä kädet olivat täynnä muttei ainakaan töitä.

Lautasiamme noutaessa tarjoilija totesi että unohti tarjota meille parmesania, kun annoimme palautetta annosten mauttomuudesta.

Kaksi pasta-annosta ja 2 x 16 cl punaviiniä, yhteensä 63 €. Täyttä ryöstöä...

I mean, I have eaten better pastas, Carbonaras supposed to be way creamier than what is served there and the services were fine, but when we need the check, there was no one in place which made us wait for 15 minutes more. Not acceptable! But some other people...
