Osaka Teppanyaki Myyrmanni — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

I recently visited Osaka Teppanyaki in Myyrmäki with my wife and two kids. We decided to enjoy their buffet-style meals. Before placing our order, I asked the cashier if it was possible to have one meal from the adjacent restaurant while ordering three meals from Osaka Teppanyaki, so we could share everything at one table. Although the cashier hesitated, she eventually said it was fine.

However, my experience quickly soured. When I brought my meal from the other restaurant, many of the staff stared at me with expressions that made me feel very unwelcome, as if I was doing something wrong. About twenty minutes later, the cashier approached our table and rudely questioned me about the meal I brought from outside. She even went as far as to ask me to mix my plate to prove that I wasn’t stealing food from their buffet.

This behavior was extremely unprofessional and left me feeling disrespected and angry. The staff's attitude overshadowed the positive aspects of the restaurant, such as the nice decor and the "not that bad" food, which my kids enjoyed.

I strongly urge the management to better educate their crew on customer service and handle such situations with more tact and respect. Until significant improvements are made, I cannot recommend this restaurant. My overall...

Food: Really wide selection to match pretty much everyones preferences. Salad/starters, like greens, fruits, soup, broth, different meats, veggies to build your own. Choose your proteins and take them to the cooks (teppanyaki) and your electronic disc will beep when it's ready for you to pick up. The ready dishes were super delicious. Maybe even better than the teppanyaki? What was something that did not match: pizza and french fries. Plus one of the teppanyaki meats that was chewy, not very enjoyable (i believe the lamb). There is a problem, If you put many ingredients to The plate, they all need different cooking time. It just does not work. My own error i believe (sorry 🙏🏼). 4.5/5.

Service: (from another person) When asked how to operate with teppanyaki and sauces, she told how to, in a friendly manner. Very happy smiley staff which made them feel like welcome. 5-/5

Atmosphere: Relaxed, chilled, cool, nice, gentle and overall a feeling that everything is okay. Nice take your time attitude. 4+/5

DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED! I ate with friends in this restaurant and experience an unprofessional service from the cashier who she claimed to be the manager as well. I understand that if you order without teppanyaki you shouldn't get from there. She came in our table 4x and said that we cannot try what is in my friends plate! (Like i ate the whole plate🙄)And question us why we get dessert already while we still have food in our plate! (Like there is a time limit of stay🙄)She watched our every moved and we really felt uncomfortable, humiliated and discriminated. She even said that she also watch other customers but she knows what exactly what we eat. We even ask the waiter if the manager is around and he said the manager is not there. In all restaurants that we try this is the one who made us feel like that. We didn't do something bad or offend some of tge workers to be treated like that.If she is the manager I cannot help to think about the integrity of food they preparing with unprofessional attitude towards the customers.
