Tucked away on a quiet side street, Puhuri by Patisserie Teemu Aura feels like the kind of neighborhood café you stumble upon and secretly want to keep to yourself. I was brought here by my partner, who had been before with friends and couldn’t stop raving—so expectations were set high.

We ordered a small spread: the quiche, shrimp pasta, a cappuccino, and a latte. The shrimp pasta was easily my favorite—simple, flavorful, and satisfying without being heavy. The quiche leaned a little too cheesy for me, though my partner happily claimed it for himself. As for the coffee, both of us agreed it could use a bit more punch; pleasant enough, but not the “wake-me-up” kind of brew.

The real highlight? The outdoor seating. We snagged a spot under a shaded tree, and in the cool August morning breeze, it felt almost cinematic—like the sort of scene you’d want to capture in a travel magazine spread. Relaxed, unpretentious, and quietly charming.

Would I return? Absolutely—especially for that pasta and the serene atmosphere. Next time, though, I might nudge the barista for an extra shot...

If you like pastries, this is the place to go. Every time I visit Lauttasaari, I visit this place. Especially during the summer, this is a really good cafe, since there is a peaceful garden and plenty of space to sit.
