General: Visited: 9.1.2025. Placed between two buildings, ground floor of one, up the small stairs, on the left side. Perhaps a little bit hidden location. Lunch buffet and a la carte. No clue about the restrooms as they were downstairs, and there was no need for one. Hand sanitizers were around to avoid catching something. Enough plates and utensils. Good food, good feeling and nice atmosphere.
Food: I had The opportunity to have a lunch buffet for 8.5€ (a special coupon offer). Starters were nice and fresh. The salmon-potato salad was really good and a great idea. The marinated red onions plus the mustard dressing were also very well made. Mains had several choices like a really basic peasoup which is often served thursdays in finland (i skipped it though). What i will really remember are the nacho crusted chicken and sauce and the tofu in red curry sauce. Those were excellent 5/5 dishes. Everything else was tasty and well made too, but those two stand out. There was some hot chipotle which really had a kick 5/5. Fresh salsa and excellent hummus. Sparkling water from tap (or still), nice and cold, refreshing. Dessert was pancakes, jam and whipped cream, also a traditional dessert usually served after the peasoup on "peasoup thursdays". The structure of The pancakes were a bit heavy and dense with a slight taste of egg(?). Okay, but i like my pancakes more airy and light. Delicious anyways. Coffee with coffee cream was excellent. Food 4+/5.
Service: Friendly service but nothing to say about, they talked between themselves and you were not noticed otherwise, which is the way i like it. They seemed busy and checked the foods frequently, well done. 4.5/5.
Atmosphere: Nice, cozy, homey atmosphere, quiet talking, not too loud music, it was just right playing in the background. It was a lovely feeling. 4+/5.
Overall: With this price 8.5€ a 5/5, but this was a one time offer. You do get what you pay for at lunch time even with The normal price 13.70€. If you are hanging around in Myyrmäki and look for a nice place to have a lunch buffet 10.30-14.00, you should definetely consider Wanda's. I recommend this place! It's...
Read moreI ate the restaurant's specialty burger. I was very disappointed, a burger that the fat from the meat melted and practically greased the entire plate, a burger that had no consistency. Two pieces of bacon that looked like lard and more oil was added to the plate, the bread was soaked in oil and grease. Fast food style fries without a sauce. Then the burger started dancing samba in my stomach and it took a long time to digest with a barrage of scary burps... I think if I went to fast food I would save money and eat better. I sincerely wanted to try the restaurant since it had been a long time since I had been and I remembered the good times when this restaurant opened... The only positive side good prosecco and good...
Read moreWhere to start? First of all out seemed great for a Saturday afternoon restaurant. Prices ok, decor was fun and different. No menus in English even though they have an international name! It's all themed on vantaa. Food was just ok, could of done with a bigger portion though. Pudding wasn't great and that's where they lost stars. First they got it wrong, then brought me out the right one which was choccy cake. It was all hard and cold almost frozen. As far as pudding goes if you can't do a good pudding then it don't matter how good or bad your mains are. We also had to wait for our a bill. Almost gave up and left! They just seemed all...
