Today, I had a bad experience with a restaurant that left me deeply concerned about its safety standards. Allow me to recount the events of the day.
They sell sushi on one side and some hot food on another. And up on the hot food counter, there is a heater, which I didn't know was there. But it was really hot, and there were no warning signs about it. But the heater was really hot, and as you're supposed to grab the food by yourself, I accidentally burned my hand.
It didn't look too bad, but it hurts a lot. My hand became red, and the skin was a little damaged. I went to the washroom by myself and put my hand under cold water, but it didn't help a lot. So I decided to talk to the staff about it.
I asked the waiter about it. I asked if they could give me some medicine, like cold gel, as I really don't want to have a scar.
I worked at the restaurant before, and I know pretty well that if you're working with hazards, you're supposed to have first aid, especially for burns.
The waiter went to talk to someone in the back, and when he came back to me, he said, "I can't give you compensation, as I'm not the owner of this place."
I didn't ask for any compensation at all (maybe I should have, as there were no warning signs that this surface is hot, which could be hazardous for customers), but I simply want to take proper care of my hand, and that's it.
When I asked one more time about the medicine, I was offered some napkin with ice inside, which you're not supposed to put on burns as it could make it worse. But I took it, as at that moment my arm was hurting really bad.
For some kind of reason, the waiter offered me plastic tape as well. There is no mistake, not a bandage, or other type of medicine, just plastic tape that you cover food with. Not quite sure how this could help with burns, but I refused.
I like the place, and the food is nice, but after all the story, I lost my appetite altogether, so I just left the place and went to the closest pharmacy to buy some burns treatment, as I was offered none, and my hand was hurting a lot.
I have concerns. If the place doesn't have any first aid at all, then it's simply not safe, not for the staff, not for the customers.
So, with a heavy heart, I highly do not recommend this place to anyone. It's disappointing to have such a negative experience, especially when all I wanted was proper care for my injury. Hopefully, the management takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary safety measures for the well-being of both...
Read moreWe came to eat on Sunday evening and the food was so good, value for money is outstanding. We have been in many Chinese restaurants in different cities in Finland, but this one is the best so far. Many tempuras of all kinds, gedze, dimsum, even tom yam souce chicken with all original and hard to find ingredients, kafir , all the good stuff. The place itself is looking at the garden, and it's nice to be in. So it's good high quality restaurant food for a very reasonable buffet price. Thank you chefs oland the team, we will certainly...
Read moreBuffet is quite poor. Sushi untasty.. All the sauses were watered down. Hot dishes are better then sushi..but those sauses make everything too watery and wet. I felt like I want myself to spice it up and to put more salt. Tea is very pale and watered down too... Only peaces of melon and conserved ananas were good. Cups are unpleasantly broken in this place, they should be changed on new ones.. Sorry, I am just honest. I know those workers are working hard and a lot. I appreciate their leighbour. They...
