Nice spacious restaurant with a theme of being on a boat. A good street view of the habour and also the nearby competing restaurant! Service was friendly and typical of a finnish place with experience of international visitors. Although the menu for vegetarian foods was limited, and there seemed to be a lack of flexibility for the kitchen to provide something that meets my dietary requirements. There was one thing on the menu that I could order and that was a cauliflower! More to that in a bit. Children's menu is very typical for around this area, so the panfried fish and mashed potatoes were ordered. That was OK. The mash wasn't salty like in other restaurants, and had good texture. Thumbs up for the kids meal. The hot chocolate was in sweetened, which at 3e a cup seemed a bit excessive price wise. I'm not saying it should be sweetened, because it was good for a kid to not consume so much sugar, but it was the most expensive hot drink available that a kid could drink. Given that we walked in from the minus 15C temp, a hot drink was the only thing. They also charged 1e for a big of water, even though they're want anything else on the menu that I wanted to drink. Onto the food, a 20E grilled cauliflower seems to be a bit excessive in terms of pricing too. Even with the beetroot mayo, and sweet potato puree, and a few other carrots and pieces of salad, it was OK, but was missing something substantial to go with it, like mashed potatoes or other carbs. Overall, this was a good place, given the few restaurants open in the city. I could visit again if there is an update to the menu, or a chefs flexible option to make something else, at...

Food is delicious, everything nicely cooked and well seasoned. Plates are big, so be careful not to order too much. The vegetarian kale and hemp patties with seasonal vegetables was incredible. The local vendance also, you can eat the whole fish, including tail, it is so crunchy. The rainbow trout was perfectly cooked, crispy skin, seasoned on point. And the veal liver was to die for. My mom used to make it when I was a child, and I enjoyed every bite on that plate. The liver was as tender as butter and perfectly cooked. Delicious food and fantastic service, the waiting staff is...

Very nice and characteristic restaurant in Savonlinna. the restaurant location is also quite nice by being just on the lake. The style of the restaurant is quite unique as it resembles a ship. The food is also very good. My children had the house burger, my wife the tapas and I had the traditional Vendance. The food tastes fantastic and very fresh. Also the fried dishes are made on the moment and delicious. The staff was also very friendly and polite. In general this is a nice experience in Savonlinna to be repeated in case and...
