We stumbled on Waahto by coincidence. I had the modestly named "Fish of the Day" dish which turned out to be delicious pike perch fillet with a beautifully, not too strongly flavoured cauliflower puree, a cider-butter sauce, a sharpish lemony dob of pickled apple and accompanied by a little grilled lettuce, carrot and broccoli. The composition of flavours was wonderful ... interesting, creative and none of them overpowering the beautiful fish but enhancing it and each other. High level cooking enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere and at an accessible price - an absolute treat suggesting that here are people who compose dishes and cook with their heart and soul. My husband and son both had the Brewhouse Muikku and felt they, the roasted potatoes and salad were delicious and just that little better.
