Kortteliravintola Kerttu — Restaurant in Turku sub-region

The wine was great and the vegan burger even better! A pretty good place as well and really cozy from the inside. I would honestly love to come back, but the staff was so awful I seriously couldn’t. Both the “bartender” (can’t call him a real one since he was so unprofessionally rude) and the “waitress” were really stuck up and bluntly rude and made us really uncomfortable. There were 8 customers at the most and a minimum of 3 people working and yet every time some one wanted to order they had to wait for 1-5min while the “bartender” was staring at his phone in the kitchen. When he finally showed up to take the order you only got snarky comments or just grunts. The waitress was to lazy to put down the plate of food, so she almost dumped the burger in my lap while gruntting something. Now I understand it might have been a difficult spot or something and I would have been more then happy to help her, but there’s no need to be rude about it. Now I can’t speak for the rest of the staff and I don’t know if these two just had a bad day or slow night. I work as a bartender myself though and have worked as a waitress as well and in my humble opinion any adult should understand to not take it out on other customers, especially not since all of the (8) customers seemed really nice! Another minus for not having music, gave it a school diner vibe. Again loved the place itself and the food and drinks, won’t be back though because I don’t have a lot of free time and I’d rather not waist it on places that don’t seem to want me.

We visited Kerttu with two families with six kids total for a Sunday dinner before hoping to the Viking Line boat. The location was great, very close to main center of Turku, but only 5min drive from harbour. Very stylish decoration, clean space that is very Finnish way in the restaurants. We ate inside, but there is also a terrace in the back where you can take dogs too. Food was great and portions also good size! we had everything from meatballs to hamburgers. The lady serving us from very friendly and did a great job suggesting, telling and taking care of us. Price/value was suitable. Definitely can recommend! Easy to get in, and go as you are. If you need to do laundry, there is washing machines...

Wanted to find a good place to eat at the end of my day in Turku, and chose this one.

The place looks great, very cozy, and service is great too. We got the Seitan burger and the halloumi one, they were both very good but I have to say that the Seitan burger is the second best one I have ever eaten. It is just delicious, and the sweet potato fries were the perfect addition to this.

You could say that it is a bit expensive but to be honest, 15 euros for such a good burger, with homemade fries, is not that much, considering you'll be full after that.
