We were walk-ins without a reservation, but they snugged us right in like they’d been expecting us all along. Very smooth!

For a neighbourhood restaurant, I didn’t expect tablecloths and napkins – fancy enough to impress without making me feel underdressed.

The service was a masterclass in politeness and efficiency – quick, but without making it feel like they were shooing us out the door. Very friendly staff, like visiting your favorite aunties and uncles!

We had the steaks – perfectly medium plus, just as we ordered. The four-pepper steak sauce was creamy, punchy, and no surprise it’s stayed on the menu all these years – some classics stick around because they just work.

The place was busy, but the noise levels were magically civilized; we could actually hold a conversation without needing a megaphone.

Overall, this spot delivers on food, service, and atmosphere, all with a touch of class and not a hint...

Located in the town centre, though finding a parking spot was not difficult

The staff were polite, and they accommodated very well a change we had in our reservation

The place is clean, the cutlery is not the most premium of silverware you could find

They offer a free salad buffet, unfortunately, this didn't taste special

Their menu offers a variety of dishes. We tried their steaks and burgers

The food is decent, their steak is quite good, and the chef cooked it to perfection. Too much pepper, but obviously that's the restaurant's specialty

Their different potatoes sides and vegetables were kind of tasteless

The prices are in the range of 20 to 40 euros per person per course. We thought it was higher than what it should have been

This is a classic steakhouse in Turku, pretty much the same quite casual concept for a couple of decades now - and that is a good thing!

Menu is very classic with the core of the menu built on steaks. The steaks are very good and well made, classic Finnish style with strong peppersauce. There are also many other dishes on the menu, including vegetarian options, so also non steak eaters can have a good time here.

Wines are usually good and fits well with the main dishes. Also beer menu is good, if there was anything to wish for it would be some local beers from micro- or nano-breweries, but the options on menu are well selected.

Service is good, atmosphere is casual and overall welcoming. It's worth a visit...
