I enjoyed learning about Finland’s diverse ecosystems at the historic museum established in 1907. The museum has an impressive collection of 30 Finnish mammals and 143 bird species that are shown across the 13 displays. I enjoyed seeing the different animals that lived in the wetlands, forest, countryside, wilderness areas in the mountains, seaside and gardens. The information on the displays were also available in English, with a really informative audio guide. This is the first museum that captured my full attention where I absorbed as much information as possible. Hearing the sounds of the animals, seeing videos of their behaviour was very...

What a lovely museum in Turku. The exterior looks nice, and I loved that the exhibition explained why the building was created, told us interesting facts and details.

It's a small but charming museum to visit. You get to discover more about the lovely animals of Finland. The panels are interactive. Finnish, Sweden and English are the three languages available. You can discover the animals' sound, appearance, videos are sometimes available. And you can even access an audio version of the descriptions by flashing a code at the beginning of the visit.

The store is lovely as well. Got myself an iron patch to put on my...

It was a really nice and calm museum, with beautiful diaramas. We had indeed a glimpse in the different parts of Finnish nature and it’s different seasons. I really recommend bringing headphones, because there is an audio tour by scanning a QR code that really adds depth. On top of that there are screens to get more information on specific animals, which was really helpful. Especially if you are a bird lover these diaramas will be loved. The facilities are very nice, clean toilet, nice museum shop, little chairs to sit on and friendly service. Had a great time! Ps: don’t skip the extra minitour outside...
