A planned last dinner out to round off our holiday in the beautiful and welcoming Le Crotoy. The draw to this restaurant was the salt marsh lamb but whilst the lamb was delicious on the outside it was inedible for me on the inside. It hadn’t been warmed to room temperature before cooking. It wasn’t rose it was raw and fridge cold! The cut was supposed to be leg but the centre was a large knot of gristle and raw as well. It arrived so quickly I was dreading the result. The accompaniment of chips was disappointing and not very complimentary to the meat. The pudding was delicious and I could have eaten another tarte citron which was nicely reimagined in a glass. Read moreI ate with my wife and son on Saturday evening. We received a warm welcome, we sat on the terrace and enjoyed a tasty cocktail (Kir Royale) while choosing our meals. The food was very well cooked and presented. I had lamb chope, my wife had steak haché and my son had moule frites. All very tasty. We were never rushed and enjoyed a pleasant conversation after we finished eating. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back soon. A nice final touch is that you pay at the counter inside, so you can leave when it suits you...
