France has wonderful food. Also wonderful desserts and patisserie. So when we walked past this place we couldn't resist going in.
A wonderful display of small cakes, patisserie, tartes, sandwiches, bread and more.
Prices are fine and the staff - even though a very busy day - very friendly.
Chose a Flan Patisserie and a Terriblement Chocolat. Flan was unusual. Shaped like a piece of tarte/cake and thicker than the custard that you might be used to. But the flavours were there, it was interesting eating it in a shape and texture like this. A nice twist.

Espresso drinks, baguettes, or desserts, if you visit this small shop in this beautiful village, you will want to...

This little one, with its bake house just around the corner and its unpretentious air, is special, not for the pastries, but for the local specialty Gateau Battu. This is similar to the Italian Pandoro but lighter, crumblier, and less sweet. A dream with lashings of soft French butter and jam, or just on its own with a coffee. The bread is also to die for: fresh, crusty and tasty even on its own. 5 stars all...
