A spontaneous gem in Ajaccio! 🍓🍹

We were three girls on a short getaway in Ajaccio when we happened to stroll past this charming café. We each ordered a strawberry daiquiri to start – super refreshing, beautifully garnished (as every proper cocktail should be!), and served with a little bowl of mixed nuts on the side. The vibes were on point, and the service was absolutely lovely – friendly, attentive, and relaxed.

We instantly became fans and ended up ordering another round… or two 😉 To our surprise and delight, the staff brought us a complimentary platter with ham, bread, and fries – such a kind and unexpected gesture that really made our evening.

This place turned a casual drink stop into one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended if you’re in Ajaccio and looking for a great spot to unwind....

I’ve left a number of 5 star reviews at various restaurants over the years.. my experience here has me thinking I need to go back and adjust a lot of those down to 4 stars when I compare them to Bistro Canaille.. incredible flavors, local wine, amazing views, and super friendly servers.. we shared several plates, it’s hard to describe the complexity and harmony of how they put the various ingredients together in these dishes.. whatever you order, make sure you also get the egg...

Oui, oui, oui! We popped by here for a snack and some sunshine and I was so impressed with how hard the team was working. With only two servers and a bartender for a busy patio, you could tell they were working really hard to make sure everyone got what they needed. We enjoyed the petit beuf tartar (which was actually the perfect size) and had a perfect bowl of hand cut frites with, drum roll please, a creamy mushroom sauce that I will be thinking about for a long...

Very nice view. Cute atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and fast. We came for lunch on a Saturday, it was quite busy but things were moving fast. Not too many option on the menu but everything looked really good. Fresh ingredients. Fine cuisine. Very tasty. We tried the salmon and beef. It was delicious. Good amount of food. Super savory. Some pescatarian/vegetarian/meat eater options. Would definitely recommend and go back !!

The location is fabulous, just next to the cathedral, the look of the place is very informal; we decided to try drinks only and unwisely chose two cocktails. Mine was the local specialty, but it tasted like a “virgin” grenadine syrup with a lot of crushed ice. My husband’s was a classic cocktail slightly better. Service was OK but this is definitely NOT a cocktail bar and expensive for the low quality.
