Worst service ever, at least 25 minute wait for check (this was intentional for some reason). I asked waiter 3 times for check 3 times he said OK and then went about other things, he seemed to have a problem with the fact I didn’t speak French, which I find quite racist. I am from Scotland and have never experienced this type of behaviour before, anywhere in the world. The only reason he finally brought the check was after, I spoke to his manger. We had drinks on a Saturday night because the location is excellent and it seemed a place favoured by locals. I had a glass of unremarkable white wine, but my husband ordered a Mai Tai which took ages to arrive. We got some stale crisps and a tiny bowl of nuts while we waited and waited. The waiter was kind enough and apologised, not his fault, the place is just too much of a mess, crazily busy and noisy and when the Mai Tai arrived it was a lot of crushed ice with a drop of rum. Tourists not welcome? The bar has been recommended to us by locals and indeed music, atmosphere and people are a fit. We liked it a lot actually. However, today we discovered we are not welcome in this bar, because one of the waiters literally told us „you parisian people are annyoing“ so he did not want to serve us. I ordered again three times (!!) during the evening a bottle of water and he just did not take my order.
