Bambou — Restaurant in Albertville

Food poisoning It seemed a nice enough restaurant however I picked up food poisoning. Had sushi to start followed by ramen and couldn’t finish before I had to run outside to throw up. I had eaten exactly the same food (simple stuff like cereal/ bagette) as my friends for two days until I came to this restaurant do the likelihood it was from this place is really high. What upset me the most is that I came back in and i wasn’t pointing the finger but they came over and passed me the full bill, didn’t apologise and were arrogantly told me it was not from their restaurant and had the kind of attitude that they couldn’t wrong. This kind of attitude worries me for their other customers because they should at least investigate with their kitchen & suppliers. I was forced into a debate in front of the entire restaurant and eventually got them to take the ramen...

Misleading reviews - or a complete off-day for Bambou.

Horrendous wait (60 minutes to first serving), worst ramen ever (served lukewarm, odd lemon-flavoring, kold chicken meat, tasteless), never replied to message off webpage request form, seated as only guests in odd low-ceiling upstairs room next to food storage, very average california rolls served with inferior ginger and a next to no wasabi.

Friendly woman (perhaps owner) offered reduction in bill to compensate for delay, which of course was a fitting gesture and sort of appreciated, but not a real consolation for an evening wasted on a poor dining experience.

Nicely decorated restaurant serving Asian style dishes. We came in a bit late, but no problem they managed a table quickly. Service was correct, no complaints. Food to my taste was not up to the level I expected. Pad Thai had too much tomato(?) and lacked a bit of kick. The chicken seemed to be precooked and added last moment.
