I ordered the Angus steak with mash and reduced ‘onion gravy’. It was sublime. The salty mash complimented the gravy and tender steak. I ordered it rare and probably should have ordered it medium because it was blue. This was my fault as it’s cooked more in the UK. I am happy to eat steaks blue and didn’t send it back. It didn’t hinder my experience and I still found it deeply satisfying and incredibly tasty. I would highly recommend. The staff we all friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere in the place too. My only gripe was the place reeked of god knows what. It was pungent and smelled like big foot’s armpit. We think it was the copious amounts of melted cheese dishes and fondue being ordered but the smell was intense. It burnt my nostrils. It didn’t put me off and I’m glad I dined there. Will visit again… with a...
Read moreI recently had the chance to try the honey and rocket cheese pizza, and it was a revelation! This unique combination of flavors took my taste buds on a culinary adventure I won't soon forget. The base was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside yet light and airy on the inside. The rocket cheese, rich and slightly tangy, melted beautifully, creating the perfect canvas for the star of the show: the honey drizzle. The sweetness of the honey paired exquisitely with the peppery bite of fresh rocket leaves, creating a harmonious balance that was both surprising and delightful. Every bite was a perfect contrast of textures and flavors—savory, sweet, creamy, and sharp. This isn't just a pizza; it's an experience, and one that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking to try something outside...
Read more€60 fixed menu. Country soup was nice. The nut free ?mushroom? soup was bland textureless grey mush. Lamb & crouzette, the Lamb was tasty enough but too thin and overcooked, the crouzette was actually good. The chicken & rice was quite plain despite the seasoning. We ordered a mid range bottle of white wine which was very good.
I cannot fault the desserts, they were excellent.
We were a large English party speaking a reasonable amount of french between us. The French waiter initially came over as very condescending, untill we actually ordered in French (admittedly it wasn't great French) at which point replied to us in a similar level of English, after denying he spoke any English.
Untill we found this restaurant we'd tried 6-7 others in Tignes to find they were booked up, this one had plenty of space....... I think I know why. Was it worth the €500+ ?... No definitely not
. . . . Je pense savoir pourquoi. Cela valait-il les 500 € et plus ?... Non,...
