Le Comptoir — Restaurant in Albertville

We went to this place to watch the France - England rugby match and paid more than 70€ in beers and snacks.

At the end of the match, we went outside for a smoke. When we came back, our beers (which were close to full) were nowhere to be seen, apparently the boss had thought we were gone and decided to clean up the table. When confronting him about this situation, he refused to pay us back or serve us another drink and ended up kicking us of his bar.

I must also add that we were quiet customers who paid all of our drinks the very second they were served to us. We never raised our voice tone when asking for a repayment, and we instantly left without causing trouble when he became threatening...

the place looks like it’s in the middle of some soul searching process, hesitating between foie gras and caviar on the one side and burgers and beer on the other. service was mixed. lady who greeted us was very nice but waitress very rude. she refused to bring us bread (which is illegal in France by the way), acted impatiently etc. food is totally overpriced. dishes straight from the microwave are charges 25+ € when they probalbly cost the owner around 4 €. tartare was not freshly cut and tasted foul. we ended up not eating it. a true disappointment. there is much better food up the slopes for an...

Giving a 2nd star because the rest of the staff were lovely but this place was let down by its rude "bar manager", a lady with a shaven head and ponytail. She was rude to me and accused me of "using her bathroom without buying a drink", despite the fact that I had been at Le Comptoir every single morning for coffee before my ski; and that myself, my family and friends had spent over €600 the evening beforehand!
