Les Tontons - Restaurant — Restaurant in Albertville

A miserable Saturday in resort with rain and wind, so we decided not to ski on our last day. Instead we thought we'd go out for a nice lunch and boy, did we pick the right place. Superb service, and a terrific selection of food for both meat lover and vegetarian, even the dessert was cracking.

I though the pricing was very reasonable with a main course being the same price as a bulk plate of pasta and meatballs on the mountain, but in a totally different league.

There were four of us and we were all similarly impressed. The service was very professional, but pleasantly casual and friendl.

Well done les Tontons; you're smashing it out the park at the minute....

Best meal I had on the holiday! I'm pescatarian and had the grilled tuna which was excellent and really different to the usual offering of restaurants in the area. Even the vegetables on the side had amazing flavour. Nice sounding veggie options too (wish I had been able to come back and try).Staff were lovely and friendly and clearly had great pride in the food. Cocktails were very nice too. We really enjoyed the perfectly cooked rack of lamb and a bottle of Cotes de Rhone Village. As we are in our 70s we were much the oldest diners by several decades. Almost everybody else around us were under 40, the majority eating burgers. I am sure that Les Tontons will be very popular with the younger generation but unfortunately that has not included us...
