Lovely food and great service especially as we were three blokes who did not speak any meaningful French, so this is much appreciated. We were even advised what to order and what would be too much (we originally went too big). We had the raclette with meats and potatoes, and it was great. The restaurant was cosy and had a really country mountain feel to it. We were also staying very nearby in La Daille so the convenience of having this restaurant on our doorstep was perfect.
I won't be reducing any stars for this, but it is worth mentioning when booking here. We booked a table about a month in advance over email for three of us in the evening, however, when we arrived, we were told that there was no reservation for us. I am militant when I book restaurants so always get written confirmation. Luckily, as the restaurant had responded via email, I was able to show that they themselves had confirmed our table. Table space was made for us in the end but the sense from the staff that I was somehow mistaken was a little...

Otherwise it was exactly what we wanted and hit the spot. Side note, if you have that much cheese you obviously won’t feel amazing, but it...
Read moreFriendly service, but food is basic. OK assuming you like French country food in its basic form. I accept that lamb is really mutton, but it was still tough and the seasonal veggies were overcooked (or maybe from frozen) carrot puree, broccoli and green beans. Fortunately aperitif at 3 euro is cheap around here, so that helped. And the escargot were not bad either. Certainly doesn't live up to the rave reviews I've seen on...
