Like other reviewers, I dined here on the chalet staff's nights off, twice in fact. The restaurant is large, so can cope with large groups, but doesn't feel vast or soulless as there are several dining areas on two floors, small parties, ones and twos are made to feel very welcome. It can get very busy but we did not feel we were kept waiting unreasonably. Menu is mostly Savoyard specialities with a few classics. Neither cheap nor expensive, and portions generous. We were very disappointed in this restaurant. The fondue was good and the steak was well cooked and everything was well presented. But the vegetables (chips, potatoes courgettes etc) were cold. They brought hot chips but at no point asked us how the meal was. I ordered ice cream and espresso together, the waiter confirmed that I wanted them served together. In the end I waited 10 minutes for the coffee after the ice cream came. Again no comment or reaction...

Visited for mid ski drinks on our first day, and enjoyed the friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. As a result had our Christmas lunch here and were not disappointed, tasty, plenty of it, and good service with a smile and sense of humour. Made a final visit on our last day for a fabulous fondue as a reward for our son and again tasty, plentiful and great service. Would go back tomorrow if I wasn't now at home!
