I was staying at the Odelays Eden Arc 1800, to which this restaurant is attached. (but I believe it is separately owned). The hotel is fabulous, but Voga Goga couldn't be any worse. As it is the only bar and restaurant that can be accessed from the hotel without taking the cable car down to the village centre, I used the bar and restaurant several times. On every occasion, the service was extremely bad. The staff are rude, very slow, and arrogant. You are left sitting at your table for 20 mins before you are asked if you would like a drink. Don't sit out on the terrace, or you may die of thirst as the service is so slow. The last straw for me was when I arrived at 9.30pm (It is advertised as being open until 10.30pm (check the recently updated opening times on their website) and ordered a beer and a take away pizza. To be told by Anthony " No Finished". I explained that I had come back up from the village in good time to eat in the hotel where I am a resident and it is advertisedas being open toll 10.30pm. I said that this was poor service and could I speak to the manager. He said "Its closed. I am the manager" I explained I only wanted a take away magharita pizza and to close early was poor customer service, especially as resident of their attached hotel and there was nowhere else to eat without going back down the cable car to the village where I had just come from. He said "it's my restaurant I close when I like" I said its very poor service" I paid for my beer (€10) and sat down to drink it. He shouted across the bar "if you don't like it you can go". I ignored this finished my beer quickly and started to leave. As I left, I passed anthony at the till where he accused me of not paying for the beer. I explained I had paid and I waited as he checked the till. He saw that I had paid. He then said, "You just go." There was no acknowledgement of his mistake or any apology for accusing me of trying not to pay. As I walked out of the restaurant into the hotel reception through the connecting door and the member of Voga Goga staff started abusing me as he had cleaned the floor I walked across ( This is 45 minutes before the advertised closing time) he said I should have walked the long way round outside the restaurant and the hotel and into reception that way!! Remember, this is a ski holiday and it is snowing outside. He started shouting at me. I told he was being rude he continued to abuse me. I took out my phone to film his abuse and he physically grabbed me and my phone. I didn't resist, but the member of staff who had cleaned the floor was physically restrained by Anthony (the manager who had witnessed all of this) and another member of staff ( a tall, large man with short shaven hair, blonde). The staff in this place have no customer service skills, can't have been trained and are out of control with their own arrogance, and are running the place to suit themselves. Read the other reviews (I witnessed staff offering free drinks for 5 star reviews as well, this is mentioned in other reviews, so consider the good reviees carefully). There is a clear theme of rudness. Lack of customer care or service and arrogance by the staff. Will never go there again. I am surprised the owner remains unconcerned about these reviews and the money they are losing. I would be happy to explain the situation to the owner if they wish to provide contact details. They are lucky I didn't want to spoil or waste my time on holiday otherwise I would have called the police. Odelays if this is a franchised business connected to your business you need to act to sort things out. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Having seen your reply to my review, you have not addressed any of the points I made. You clearly don't care. This just substantiates...
Read moreQuite possibly the Worst Customer Service ever encountered anywhere, let alone a ski resort! Who ever is the owner of this place needs to give their staff a kick up the backside., this place could treble its income by getting in more staff, and staff that actually have any Customer Service training or knowledge. Apres Ski., non existent., First day we arrived, sat outside for a drink (as you do)., waiting for the most ridiculous length of time, so we went to the "bar"., and tried to order drinks, we were "ordered" to sit back down in our seats like naughty school children., eventually a surly waiter took our order, drinks were so long coming we almost let the place, anyways they finally arrived after about forty minutes of having been sat there, the place wasnt even busy., virtually had our drinks thrown on the table. Second visit, sat in and we all had a meal (meal was lovely, food was great, no complaints there)., but again the service was diabolical., asking for drinks, or a knife and fork etc., made you feel like a criminal. As a group we spent alot of money in here for the first few days, until we all went in and asked for drinks about 9.30pm one evening and we were told and I quote "this is a restaurant not a bar"., !!! we had better manners than to mention the Pub sign outside., we then found, like 99% of the other people we spoke to on the resort that taking the Gondola down to the bars and restaurants was by far not only alot cheaper, but also a nicer experience., and we did indeed encounter some lovely bars and restaurants there, with friendly staff, and lovely people., unlike the staff at this awful place, I will be putting a complaint into Edenarc about the place too. Oh., almost forgot, on one occassion, as a group, we had had several drinks in what would be considered the bar area, certainly not the restaurant, and at 6.45, we were told to move from our table (high top bar stool type) as they needed our table for food., quite unreal experience., we have travelled all over the world, and never encountered anything quite like the rudeness...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant last night, and the whole experience was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting—lively but not too loud, with a cozy and welcoming vibe that made us feel right at home.
One of the highlights was definitely the service. The staff were all incredibly friendly and smiling the entire time, which really added to the positive mood of the evening. Our orders were taken quickly, and we didn’t have to wait long at all for the food to arrive—everything was impressively fast without feeling rushed.
A special mention goes to the restaurant manager, who was exceptionally polite and attentive. He spoke very good English, which was such a nice touch and made communication easy and pleasant. He checked in on us during the meal to make sure everything was going well, and his professional yet friendly manner stood out.
As for the food—delicious! Every dish we tried was well-prepared and full of flavor. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was spot on.
Overall, it was a great night out, and I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. I’ll be back for sure!
