The hotel is well located at the top of the hill in Cordes Sur Ciel. It is very easy to get to shops and restaurants. The view from our window was outstanding! The room was clean (the first night...they don't make the beds for you if you stay more than one night) and very spacious. However, the room is run by the people who own the restaurant on the first floor, and they were very busy. They are not available to offer suggestions, make reservations, or offer much assistance at all unless there is a slow period in the dining rush. ||||Breakfast is late in the morning, so I would advise getting something from the bakery or plan the night before if you want an early start.||||They also do NOT have wifi. This was unclear when we booked (it was mentioned as "internet available in public places"). In order to access internet in the hotel, you have to have a cord to plug into the wall. We couldn't do any research to plan our next days, and when there was an issue with our rental car, we had to go to a different hotel to get someone to help us. We went to the Logis, and the woman at the desk was EXTREMELY helpful. I would sacrifice the view to stay...

Read moreFondue lovers or no fondue lovers… this is a must try place from where one of the worlds best & finest cheeses Gruyère was originated. Town is called Gruyère. One and half hour drive from Geneva but within a beautiful remains of château. Very small restaurant but probably the best in town. Fondue with truffle is the top choice and steak on hot stone is great too. Dried beef was outstanding followed by the house salads worked as an icing on the cake. My favourite dessert was vanilla ice cream with burned apple caramel syrup (never heard this one before). Second best was fresh cream with meringue. Loved the service and cosy ambiance. Surroundings of the village were beautiful story in itself. Must visit town...
