Bella's Tea Room — Restaurant in Alençon

We have had 2 very good experiences at Bella's for afternoon tea, today we popped in for some lunch, sadly today we were extremely disappointed, the attitude of the owner was very offhand and surly. As it sells itself as an English tearoom, we asked if they had a menu in English, only to be told no, in a very dismissive way, as we would have to do one in Chinese as well, then he proceeded to hurridly point things out on the menu, we said no worries we would try to fathom it and ask if necessary, he just turned and walked away and grunted. We decided to leave as his attitude did not deserve our custom. On seeing us leave, we told him we would leave it for now, he made an attempt to keep us by asking what it was we wanted and made various suggestions, we said we may go back for afternoon tea as an excuse to leave, this heralded an abrupt we close at 2.
