La Piste Verte — Restaurant in Annecy

Poor service and poor food. As a party of 6 we arrived at 7.30 without a reservation. So we returned at 9pm as asked. We waited until 9.30 for a table to become available. The food arrived at 10. Other customers were waiting a similar time with glassy expressions too. 2/5 principle dishes were off the menu by that stage. Fish and chips, burgers or perch fillet was left. 5 of the party ordered burgers. We were then told only 4 burgers remained so my daughter changed to perch. The food was cafe grub. The burgers chips and lettuce as you'd expect. The perch was battered, rubbery and tasteless. So the plate was not nice. We tried to get a reduction which was refused. The staff said it had been ordered so it had to be paid for. We were polite, the staff started complaining about English people!!

We took family on a bike trip around Annecy today and randomly stopped to this cozy little restaurant hidden on the side of the bike path.

We ordered some drinks and were not disapointed. Prices were fair, everything we ordered was cold and refreshing. It was a hot day and they served us cold water with plenty of ice to cool us down.

The decor is absolutely gorgeous. Feels like a small private garden with the calming sound of flowing water and breathtaking mountain view in the background.

To top it all, the staff was welcoming, engaging and every interaction done with a smile.

What a lovely place to stop for a drink or a taste of local produce! The garden itself is beautifully done and complemented by the mountain landscape.
