2025 Update
This year we went again for lunch and once again everything was superb. We ordered nearly the entire menu and every dish was outstanding. Bruno, the owner, always provides excellent service. This time we are sharing more pictures too. Consistently one of our favorite places. Will be back again,
Exceptional Experience at Café du Progress – 2024 upate
I am updating my review from last year. Last year was our first time visiting Café du Progress despite having visited the Luberon Valley many times before. We loved the place and decided to add it to our list of go-to places, which we did this year. We liked it even more this time around.
We were a group of four, so we ended up tasting the entire lunch menu, and it was exceptional. We look forward to visiting again next year.
ORIGINAL REVIEW - 2023 Visiting from NYC and this was our 6th time visiting the Luberon valley but our first time having lunch at Café du Progrès. It is lovely place and we will certainly add to our lunch list. The menu is simple but very nicely presented and delicious. We all had the fish of the day and it was very nice. When I finally asked if we could order, the waiter with total disinterest and his body deliberately turned away from me, reluctantly took my order. Visitors to this gorgeous village is what keeps it and businesses alive. It is a pity we weren't treated with basic respect. Pity, because I had initially considered staying for lunch afterwards. So it was lost business for this cafe and our memory of rudeness and a contemptuous attitude...
Read moreThe cafe has a very beautifull small terrace with a view towards the valley and hills. It could be a perfect place to come if the staff would change completely. We ordered a quiche and we received it half done. We asked the waiter to change it however they told us that they do it like that every day and that they do not care about our request. We are not pretencious people but this experience really made us regret we...
