Maison de la truffe et du vin du Luberon — Restaurant in Apt

Stumbled upon this place while exploring our first day in Menérbes. You know if you find a place called "the house of truffle and wine" you have found a piece of delicious heaven. We did a 5 wine pairing, which comes with a delicious board. We also added two additional boards as that was dinner for us. all delicious. Service was great. They tailored the wines to our liking. Disappointed! Called in whilst passing by one afternoon and made a reservation for two ( in person) for 6pm that evening as was informed they close at 8pm. Arrived promptly for our reservation only to be told (by the same person I’d booked with earlier that day) that last entries were at 5:30pm! She even recognised and remembered doing the booking but refused us entry… Fortunately we found another restaurant in Ménerbes (Les Saveurs Gourmandes) which gave excellent service and food so would highly recommend...

Lovely setting and staff but expensive corkage fee and poor choice for vegetarians on the set menu for the evening. We were charged €15 (additional corkage) per bottle for wine that only cost €12 to buy in their shop and this was miscommunicated to us by the server so unexpected surprise when paying the bill.
