I popped in to look at this beautiful looking restaurant with wonderful atmosphere and were immediately given a very unwelcome stare from the waitress, I said hello with a pleasant smile and asked wether I could take a look, she shrugged her shoulders with a wry smile and continued serving dishes. I left after having looked and asked my adult family of 4 to come and join me to make a future booking of this splendid restaurant. Once again within 3 minutes I reentered and patiently waited for the waitress to approach me as I could see they were busy. The waitress eventually came over and said “ yes” as if to say what do you want, I asked would it be possible to make a booking please? She replied the earliest booking would be the 19th of September, nearly 3 weeks away!! I said thank you and left. I must admit I was very surprised as to her not offering to take my details for any possible future cancellations from other patrons or showing any kind of friendly apology. I’m thankful of the neighbouring restaurants for being ever so welcoming and accommodating, not for one visit but for few visits over our 10 day stay in...

No trouble communicating, as our hostess understood English and was patient with my broken French. It is worth every penny. A deal, when I consider what I paid for a ho-hum meal in Paris. The meals at La Bartavelle are big on presentation, flavors and substance. A feast for the eyes and the stomach. Everything cooked to perfection. I came away filled but not stuffed. The meal was perfectly paced. Make this a special treat to celebrate an event or your vacation. Trust me, it will be memorable! (I posted pics of menu items, but I didn’t describe the food because the menu is based on seasonal items and changes frequently). Just go —- MUST CALL TO MAKE A...
This beautiful little restaurant in Goult is a hidden gem. We were so happy we had made reservations. It is located on a small side street and we were able to eat outside last week. The experience was fantastic. The service was on-point, not too rushed or slow. The proprietor stays very busy with host duties and as wine sommelier, and spends a fair amount of time telling people there is no room at the restaurant for drop-ins, so make reservations. You'll be so happy that you did. The poulet with langoustines, zucchini flowers stuffed with mushrooms was delicious and cooked to perfection. My husband loved the free-range grilled veal chop with eggplant cannelloni with parmesan. The menu is limited but both entrees were some our favorite meals we had while traveling...
