Le Numéro 3 — Restaurant in Argelès-Gazost

This was a complete hidden gem for vegans! Very little is available for dining out in the area for those with a vegan diet whilst the local organic/bio shops offer good products. We often feel this way when in more rural locations, as London ( where are from) has so many vegan options that we are spoilt for choice and sets high expectations. However, we accidentally found this place after just perusing its menu and saw a vegetarian burger and fries which stated that it could be made vegan. Thought that it might be ok but it was magnificent! The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and explained that it was completely vegan to reassure us too. When it arrived, the bread bun was wholesome, seeded and toasted with a ‘faux chicken’ type burger inside, smothered with a vegan creamy herby sauce and wok-fried peppers, carrots and courgette…and nestled next to a huge portion of homemade fries! The restaurant has a good menu and good wine card. We had the menu of 27 euro. But in the main dish of my husband were pieces of porcelaine. My husband bites at one piece. Later we saw another big piece. We show the pieces to the waiters. They should tell it to the boss. I did not make a picture. So we asked if we can take a picture for the dentist. The owner came outside yelling and told us that we put the pieces porcelaine by ourself in the food. He was yelling that we had to get out of the restaurant. It was an terrible experience!

Reaction after the post of the owner: We are tourists. Why should we rip them off? There were 2 pieces of porcelain in the food. A simple apology would have sufficed. Fortunately, my husband is not bothered by the broken tooth. Of course, he will go to the dentist immediately after...

Nous avions choisi ce restaurant en nous fiant aux avis, mais l'expérience a été catastrophique !! Dès le début, des problèmes se sont accumulés, et le manque de professionnalisme a gâché notre repas.

J'ai commandé un magret de canard et, étonnamment, la serveuse ne m'a même pas demandé la cuisson. J'ai donc précisé "saignant". Résultat : un magret complètement marron, cuit à cœur. Je signale l'erreur, et le responsable, visiblement agacé, lève les yeux au ciel et me demande : "Bah, c’est quoi un magret saignant pour vous ?". Désolé, mais je ne vais pas lui apprendre son métier ! Un magret saignant, c’est peu cuit, tout le monde sait ça. Il revient ensuite avec… le même magret encore plus cuit. 😂Ne voulant pas retarder mes amis qui avaient presque fini leur plat, je me tais. Finalement, il admet s’être trompé de cuisson et promet un nouveau magret. Après 10 minutes d’attente supplémentaires, j’ai enfin un nouveau plat… toujours aussi cuit !! Aucune considération pour le client ni le travail bien fait.

Mon collègue, allergique à la sauce, commande un burger sans sauce. Surprise : il arrive dégoulinant de sauce !! Retour en cuisine, mais toujours aucune excuse.

Enfin, le service est tout aussi médiocre. Une amie commande 3 boules de glace en dessert. Après trois relances et une attente interminable, elles finissent par arriver. Même les cuillères pour les desserts ont dû être demandées plusieurs fois.

Bref, une accumulation d’erreurs, aucun geste commercial ni excuses, et un personnel...
