This is a very special restaurant. Good, local, well cooked food with quality products. Nothing fancy but fine quality. Outstanding pizzas and ice cream as well. A beautiful outside terrasse with good mountain views rounds off the experience. But the highlight of our frequent visits here this past month has been the team. They get my vote for the hardest working restaurant crew in France. It’s a place where, despite French custom, you should tip generously. In season, when the town is just overrun with tourists and you lack a reservation you just might go hungry for the evening. But be assured there will always be a place for you at La Forge. Why? Read moreWe waited from 19:00 to 21:30 for our starter. We were very patient, as it was a good (busy) night for the restaurant. Turned out they served the order to a different table. Asked the staff several times what the status was of the starter and main dish. After the 4th time we asked, a waiter finally checked the kitchen. Nothing was made, got the main dish at 21:30. Two hours and 30 minutes later.
