Le Fournil Saintois ( Maitre Artisan) — Restaurant in Arles

We stopped by for a late lunch to take away at maybe a quarter past one. We were running late and I assumed it would have closed for lunch, but it was still open.

We were so late that there wasn’t a lot left to choose from, but we still did find, with a fougasse, a slice of pizza and a mini pain au raisin. All very nice and good value.

Aside: if you glance at a map the bakery looks quite a way out of town, but it isn’t at all. It’s literally a minute on foot to the pedestrianised town centre, and not far at all...

Looks lovely and quite busy. Sandwiches (€4) are a scam with mainly lettuce and other ingredients more for decoration. Breads are good, snacks are okay. Serves different kind of coffees, juices etc. But didn't have the opportunity to try. Despite how busy it was on the Sunday morning was helped quickly and efficiently. Parking is...

Personnels sympathique, rien à redire de cela. Cependant, concernant 2 articles que j'ai tester, notamment un pain au chocolat et un éclair au café, j'en suis tombé de haut: L'éclair café : la pâte à choux manquait de cuisson, et vu qu'elle sort de congélation, elle en était molle et élastique. Le glaçage, c'était vraiment juste un trait pour dire, un peu mal fait, et la garniture, la crème pâtissière au café était mal aromatisé. Le pain au chocolat : le point où j'ai été le pluss déçu, il manquait cruellement de cuisson, l'extérieur légèrement doré certes, mais l'intérieur était plus proche de la pâte cru, on pouvait refaconner avec la pâte cru, la semelle encore blanche.
