Le Flobert — Restaurant in Auxerre

Portions are small for what you pay for. Food was very average, should have taken their menu fixed instead. Server wasn’t very helpful explaining the few dishes available in English and also wasn’t very helpful when we asked if they had a kids menu (she just bluntly said ”No” without making any other suggestions). We were surprised because other reviewers said this was a very accommodating place to eat with small children. We did get a booster seat which was appreciate, but would have appreciated a recommendation for a kid-friendly meal. I ordered a mackarel fish that came with some grilled vegetables. The sauce with it was very good however. My husband ordered the €28 steak but it arrived cold in the middle (not properly sous-vide’d) and on a cutting board instead of a warm plate to keep it warm. We left feeling hungry for an expensive meal and ended up going to the restaurant next door...

Absolutely stunning food. Lovely to our kids, great service, amazing cooking. Top wine recommendations. The beef was great; the veal and pork were extraordinary. Even better was the vegetable plate to start - straight from the market, all beautifully cooked...

Un restaurant "qui ne paye pas de mine" !!! L'entrée, un bar simple puis le regard se pose dans la salle avec la découverte du menu sur ardoise :-) une belle assiette mais surtout une cuisine raffinée et pour un prix tout a fait raisonnable 😀 Nous le recommandons vivement !! 04/09/2021

De nouveau de passage dans la belle ville d’Auxerre, c’est avec plaisir que nous sommes retournés au restaurant Le Flobert. L’accueil est toujours aussi chaleureux, les plats délicieux et le prix très raisonnable (15€ : l’entrée, plat, dessert). Ma femme s’est régalée avec le merlu aux figues (sans parler du dessert : du pain perdu aux abricots poché au romarin) Quant à moi, l’omelette aux girolles et petites pommes de terre était un vrai régal !!! Tout est fait maison avec des produits...
