Le Bisqu'in — Restaurant in Avranches

La Bisqu'in proved to be the culinary highlight of our 3-week tour through France. Conveniently located next to our campsite, this charming restaurant exceeded all expectations.

The seafood was impeccably prepared, with fish cooked to perfection. Fresh, crisp salads complemented the main courses beautifully. Throughout our meal, the attentive staff provided excellent service, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

What truly set La Bisqu'in apart was the personal touch. At the end of our meal, the chef himself came to our table to settle the bill. His attention to detail was remarkable - when I picked up a bottle of beer from the shelf, he thoughtfully offered to bring a chilled one for immediate enjoyment.

This level of care and consideration, combined with the outstanding quality of the food, made our visit to La Bisqu'in memorable. It's no exaggeration to say that among all the restaurants we tried during our French journey, this one stood out as the best. For anyone seeking an authentic and delightful dining experience, La Bisqu'in comes highly recommended.

Staff is not communicative. Not willing to explain on their menu. And if something is out on something you ordered they won't tell you. You just end up with something completely different than you ordered and that's it. The menu prix fixe isn't worth it and in incredibly small amounts. Ends up costing way more than ordering anything a la carte. Shrimp is served cold and without being deveined or much in it. Out of camembert and andouille sausage and whelks, andddd instead of letting us know, gave us a few measley pieces of chicken tenders (wtf) and some very odd fish paste. Feels...

Casual restaurant near Mont St Michel carpark. We called to book and arrived at 7pm. Highly recommend booking as it became full soon after.

Chose the set menu which included a good selection of fresh seafood entree, tasty mains and desserts for 25 euros. Some dishes require a few euros extra (bigger seafood plate, lamb and special crepe) but these are clearly indicated on the menu. Kids menu also reasonably priced.

Food was tasty, fresh and well presented. Service was quick and friendly. Very good value for money. Really glad we chose to eat here after visiting...
