Le Vieux Siège — Restaurant in Béziers

We stopped for what we thought was going to be a quick, light lunch but stayed for quite some time and enjoyed a sumptuous banquet, albeit just an entrée each (2). A ‘DIY’ salad was huge and full of delicious vegetables and even a whole avocado. I had the charcuterie platter and we shared. Went late at night, midweek in April 2022 for a late snack dinner. Nicely decorated and with a good range of food on the menu. Despite our late arrival with no reservation (after 9.15pm) they were very accommodating and very friendly. Only had snack type meals (toulouse sausages and chips; plus a delicious tarte tatin), but food was hot and very tasty. Service excellent. Great location on a small square next to a few other bars/restaurants. We visited twice and service was a bit hit and miss (it was also pretty slow) with some staff being very friendly and some staff being curt.

The camembert starter was delicious and absolutely huge. The set 3 course lunch was good value with some decent options. The bavette steak was tasty and well presented. Drinks were decently priced....
