Pleasant summer evening setting in the square behind the cathedral. Attentive and pleasant service, although the server was taking care of all the tables so service was leisurely, but it's Friday evening in the South of France so who cares?
The food was outstanding. Fresh and clean gazpacho with a tiny hint of spice. A generous entree serving of tuna tataki. A delicate cod gratin on black rice with grilled vegetables, delicious. All good.
Then I returned for lunch the next day. A different person was waiting tables. I asked him if we could have one of the tables in the shade and he responded that no, we must sit in the sun because those empty tables were for customers who might arrive for bar service. Read moreAmazingly beautiful and tranquil brasserie overlooking a stereotypically French Square in the historic centre. It's the real France with views you usually only dream about or see on TV in sitcoms such as 'Allo allo'.
The food is fab and we drank 3 pitchers of the house red. We spent around 3 hours just sitting on the terrace soaking up the ambience and thinking we had been transported in a time machine to 1940s France.

The boy was very rude, he went back inside as we stood to leave then came back out and said menacingly “so you have a problem?”. My wife was frightened by his approach and we left quickly.
