The moules marinières were good, as were the desserts. I complained because they were trying to get you to spend as much as possible. We ordered mussels and the waiter said we had to order dessert at the same time. We ordered a glass of dry white wine because there was no option of house wine on the menu, (despite the fact that some French customers hsd just that), and we got a pouilly without asking - 11€ a glass! I noticed he was doing the same with other British and American customers, not the French. I had a chipped water glass and we had to ask for water and bread(unusual for France). The whole meal was spoiled as we realised we were being exploited. I can speak French and complained - got a 4€ reduction off the wine. Shocking way to treat people. Don't go there, or if you do,...

Visiting the D Day beaches and this place was close and still open. As soon as I saw that it was on the water I was confident we were going to have some great food. It was a quiet Wednesday night and we chose inside although they offer outdoor seating too. We started with some oysters that were gone in a minute. I ordered the classic sole meuniere, and my wife ordered a scallop dish. Both were fantastic and the creme brulee was delicious as well . They put a little twist on it that I've never had that worked well. The staff were friendly and attentive and we got out of there for under $100 with a drink. Definitely recommend it if you like seafood. We may return for...

I spend a lot of time traveling around the world and a lot of time and Hospitality this was probably one of the rudest Services I have ever encountered exceptionally arrogant condescending with no sense of service whatsoever we were even yelled at because we sat down on the outside tables 10 minutes before the restaurant opened at 7 we were not allowed to order dessert after our main course unless we did it in advance we will not allow any changes or additions to any of the menu items I just in case I didn't mention it it was the most unfriendly arrogant waiter I have probably ever encountered it could have been a good place had it not been for the people...

You know that scene from Goodfellas where they slice garlic in prison with a razor blade? The garlic is so thin it melts in the oil… the baguette slices in this place are that thin. A bit mean. 😜 however…. Delicious Scallops with fresh veggies. After a simple plate of local cheese and a glass of red wine. Simple food done very well and not overpriced. But I had the finest slices of baguette I’ve ever seen. Service was fine but I speak French and made an effort to.

Tolles Restaurant
