A gorgeous little restaurant overlooking the estuary in a quiet corner of Ciboure but still just 5 minutes walk from the beach. The food is absolutely delicious, prepared by Ambre, a young chef bursting with creativity and talent. Today I tasted the dish of the day - lamb roasted in the barbecue oven for 7 hours and cooked to perfection. My taste buds are going wild! We visited today and had the menu of the day, and it was absolutely amazing. The food was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. The service was impeccable from start to finish, and the setting was just lovely. I particularly enjoyed hearing the story behind the crockery – each individual piece came from different places which added such a unique and personal touch. Charmés par la devanture colorée sous les arcades au bord tranquille de l’Untxin, mes amis et moi avons choisi de passer la soirée à Kavea. Nous y sommes retournés trois fois durant notre séjour, pour vous dire à quelle point nous avons appréciés. La carte est épurée. Spécialités basques et produit du marché au menu. Aussi bien pour prendre un verre grâce aux talents du barmaid que pour déjeuner/dîner. Un plat du jour au prix attrayant nous fait de l’oeil dés l’entrée. Simplicité, efficacité et fraîcheur sont les maîtres mots. On réussira même à me réconcilier avec les courgettes par de succulentes croquettes gourmandes, faite maison, bien entendu. Une excellente option végétarienne. Côté vin, la carte est garnie et les conseils sont avisés. Le personnel connaît bien ses produits, ce qui est très appréciable.
