Excellent Sunday Brunch in a beautiful new restaurant. Daughter and I enjoyed faultless food and service at Walnut this morning. The menu is imaginative and varied with more than a token paid towards vegetarian eating. We chose Eggs Benedict and the Plat de Saumon which included gravalax, avocado and feta served on slices of toasted granary bread; both were delicious - we accompanied our brunch with coffee given the early hour but the wine and drinks menu looked equally impressive. Read moreWe visited Walnut for dinner for the first time this week. Welcomed by the staff on arrival and you can tell straight away that every care is taken with service. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant is comfortable they have aircon. The quality of the food is very very good and the cooking is excellent. We had steak and fish of the day both of which were perfectly cooked. The steak tartare was super fresh and very tasty. Read moreUnfortunately I can't give 6 stars! What a nice restaurant is this! Staff and owners are really friendly and they know how to run it! Really nicely decorated and a very nice atmosphere. Chef knows how to make his dishes, compliments to her/him! The meat (Angus and filet du boeuf) are heavenly made and full of flavours. The homemade fries are delicious and the accompanying sauces are an addition to the dishes. The desserts are really good too! You even get a special Laguiole knife to cut your meat.
