No one approached us for 10 mins after we sat down for a quick coffee on a deserted Thursday. And then we went to the desk to order. what gives this place a 1 star is the rude attitude we received from the waitress/hostess. We apparently sat in what was supposed to be a lunch table. So she started angrily telling us we should have sat at a table where there was no cutlery. Sure we’re happy to oblige but there’s a calm polite professional way these things can be communicated. And if you are so concerned about people sitting on lunch table, it’s not that hard to come show people a suitable table before they sit down. Especially when there were barely 2 other people in the whole cafe. Perhaps this is something that can chalked up to cultural difference not knowing that we shouldn’t sit at lunch tables, but in other places and countries, the waiters just tell us before hand. I have the same exact experience in Italy and Germany where part of the cafe/restaurant was already prepping for lunch but they showed us the right table politely.
