So, this might be a bit of an emotional review but it is what it is. After visiting Chateau de Cheverny suddenly it was lunch time and almost 2 PM (or was it 1PM). Bottom line, most restaurants were closing for the afternoon (lull, I guess?) and most of us trying to get into nearby restaurants were being turned away. However, a small line formed in front of Le Pinocchio and although they were supposed to close by 2PM, they just kep going till they accomodated every one in the line (I won't be surprised if they didn't close at all that afternoon). Food was pretty decent, servers were very enthusiastic and just a very good vibe from everyone making sure that patrons get what they came for. Just loved their attitude (inspite of bunch of patrons who came in a group and created quite a mess while checking out) and, as far as I'm concerned, the food was excellent! Wish them all...
Read moreOrdered the fish and chips â first mistake, given weâre in the middle of nowhere and a landlocked region. The fatal flaw was the side salad: yellowed, limp, and clearly not fresh. Any decent restaurant would have simply skipped serving it rather than offering this sad excuse for a salad.
The fish itself was obviously frozen, tough and almost jerky-like. Both the fish and the chips were fried in oil that desperately needed changing â the fries were brownish, some charred, and all soaked in oil. I left about three-quarters uneaten. At âŹ19 in this region, itâs shocking they have the audacity to serve this on their menu.
To top it off, there were annoying flies all around, making it one of the worst...
