My group and I had a lovely time at La Crémerie des Aiguilles on a Friday evening to end our trip in Chamonix. The environment was cozy and charming. The owners were kind and friendly, and we stayed to talk with them long after the other staff had left.
The food was incredible; we tried both the mushroom fondue and the calvados fondue, along with the plate of meats, and were generous with the wine pours as we celebrated a friend's birthday. Both fondues were absolutely beautiful, the mushroom fondue in particular. I highly recommend the coupe framboise if you love raspberry as I do, it will rank among my all time favorite desserts.
A final thank you to the staff for making our experience exceptional; at one point a party member dropped a few pieces of bread that landed near the flame for the fondue (I mentioned the wine). We were immediately assisted, and acknowledged from the kitchen by the sound of a distant kazoo with impeccable comedic timing. This moment will remain one of the highlights of my entire trip, it put us at ease and further ingratiated us with the staff.

Read moreThis restaurant is amazing. Waiters and staff are really friendly and welcoming. Don’t speak french? No problem! Spilled beer all over the table by accident? It’s ok, no one will be annoyed and will gladly help you.
The Chef is absolutely brilliant, every ingredient used is about as fresh as I have ever tasted, and all very well put together in the poisson du jour I ordered. I have eaten at Michellin star restaurants that were not this delicious.
Then when you are done there is a beautiful lake with a gorgeous view where you can relax as you digest the amazing food you just had.
Just two train stops away from the town center!...
Read moreA real hidden gem in Chamonix! Let me tell you about this place that we stumble upon. The new owners (Sophie and Laurent) are the best hosts ever! The food is really really good (from fondue to moules marinieres to great "steak frites"), their wine/beer selection is very well done and suits anyone, the service is top notch and last but not least the views are unbeatable: their terrace offers views of both sides of the valley and you can see the Mont Blanc right there. Just a hit and a place you should check out if you visit Chamonix. You will not...
