Restaurant Le Yeti Morillon — Restaurant in Bonneville

Just had the worst meal of my life at the Yeti. We both ordered fish and chips. Instead of a piece of fresh fried battered fish, we were presented with a small prefabricated frozen piece of indeterminate fish which could have come from McDonalds. Except that McDonalds would have actually cooked it. What we were given was still frozen, raw on the inside. I pointed this out to the waitress, who took it away. I expected her to return with some freshly cooked fish, but no, she came back a few minutes later with the same pieces of fish which had been cut in half and obviously fried again. They were of course now rock hard on the outside and inedible. I complained again, and we were then finally given a fresh dish of proper fried fish fillet properly cooked, which was OK, if very small, less than half the size I would have expected. No deduction from the bill was offered, just a curt apology. We live in Morillon, but the impression given was that, as we spoke English, they thought we were tourists and would never be seen again. I’m writing a review from a visit in 2018. I have been to Morillon three times to ski and it’s a great place overall. Very nice for a family holiday or to chill alone and focus on skiing Just a warning: I had an experience that gives me nightmares from time to time….do NOT eat the Boef Tartare. I’m not sure if it was this restaurant or the one next door. I had this delicacy, thinking that in the winter cold beef won’t go off but hey man the next day I went to Switzerland for a week and was sick as a dog!! Lucky got prompt treatment (being a doctor myself) but still had severe stomach cramps and pain for another week. I’m always very careful of what I eat so am sure it wasn’t something else. Just got a flashback and want to warn patrons and tell the restaurants to take extra care with raw meat. Not wanting to give a bad review as not totally sure ir it was this place or the one next door. Have had wonderful meals in both in previous years and hope to visit...

Our family party of 10 were excited to eat here 03.01.24 @ 6.30pm. The waiting staff were friendly but the service was slow and it took over an hour for the food to arrive (we only ordered main courses).

Half the party ordered the steak which was completely inedible, cold and very grisly meat, the worst we have ever been served. The steak sauce was cold and tasteless and the vegetables cold. The chips were just about edible.

We complained and said the food was poor. We were still presented with the full bill of €377. We then asked for a discount on the bill but were offered free drinks. We refused and asked to speak to the manager who was rude and unwilling to compromise and was confrontational. He made us pay the full amount.

The party behind were also disappointed.
