Hôtel Restaurant Le Spéranza — Restaurant in Boulogne-sur-Mer

Never been to Wimereux before and chose this hotel as it was near the seafront. We loved it. Four of us went for a short weekend break. Wimereux itself is just lovely. Lots of lovely shops and bars. Also, a lovely walk along the beach blows all the cobwebs away. Wherever we went the people were friendly and chatty. We chose to eat in the hotel restaurant on Saturday night and they even let us chose which table we wanted. Restaurant was full and both food and service were excellent. Our rooms were comfortable, both en-suite and room 6 had a lovely sea view and room 2 a balcony. Be aware that parking can be tricky - if you see a space, grab it quick and walk to the hotel! We'd definitely go again....

We had booked a table for the restaurant via email as it was Friday night (we were not staying in the hotel). On arrival we were seated downstairs and enjoyed a lovely meal with attentive and friendly service despite our terrible attempts at French. The oysters were delicious to follow we both had fish - Sole meunière and Filet de bar, sauce épices et lait de coco both dishes were well cooked and presented. The plate of local cheeses was very good as was the Tart Tatin. We had a lovely crisp Muscade Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie to accompany our meal.

Would recommend eating here, but do make sure you book, even in February...
