THAI PHUKET — Restaurant in Brest

I get there with my son and brother without reservation to find the restaurant packed. Manager politely tells me it's impossible to get a table so I decide to order take away. Honestly, it's just the worst chicken red curry I've ever had. It's all...pineapple. I said what I said. The portion is too small too for the price and the nems (aren't these Vietnamese?) weren't any good either. I think they also forgot my dish because a guy came over and checked my order after some time...what really annoyed me was when they boxed up my food, they threw away the lettuce I'd put the nems on (I really have zero idea why they would do this). Décoration intérieure réussie, grande capacité de couverts mais du coup c'est bruyant, on s'entend à peine parler.

L'accueil des patrons est agréable mais les serveurs viennent (trop) souvent tenter de débarrasser notre table. Cela dit, même si je comprends que cela soit mal vu de rester statique dans la salle mais on a quand même l'impression d'être pousser vers la sortie.

Malgré tout ils sont souriants et nous ont souhaité un bon appétit à plusieurs reprises. De ce côté là, rien à dire, ils font leur job correctement. (j'ai donc laissé un petit pourboire) On ne ressent pas du tout ce phénomène dans un autre grand restaurant en buffet à volonté à Brest dont je ne citerai pas le nom.

Les plats ne sont pas assez consistants, trop petits pour le prix demandé et le pichet de vin (donc pas top) est excessivement cher ! De plus, la qualité des plats est à revoir : les brochettes de porcs à 11.90€ et le riz au poulet à 7.50€ sont indignes d'un restaurant. Les raviolis vapeur à 6.00€ sont très bonnes tout comme les pâtes au porc à 10.50€.

Conclusion, pour un total de 22€ par personne (avec boisson alcool mais sans dessert) je n'y retournerai pas mais j'irai plutôt au Buffet à volonté où je mangerai à ma faim et pour le coup, j'aurai droit au dessert, au pain et au Wok avec des produits dont je peux juger la fraîcheur.

Dans une période ou tout le monde se plaint de l'augmentation du coût de la vie et les manifestations des gilets jaunes, etc etc, je trouve qu'il est curieux de voir autant de monde (tant mieux pour le restaurant) se payer un restaurant à 27€ par personne (moyenne observée sur place).
