Honest food businesses like La Moisson are the reason why I love travelling. I've always loved french crĂȘpes and galettes so I knew I had to try it when I came to France. At first glance their galette reminded me of paper thosai (an indian dish, well-loved back at home in Singapore). I loved the abtractness of their galette's shape, it felt very authentic rather than the millions of pretentious cafĂ©s at home that serve pristine looking galettes. My mum ordered the bacon galette and I got the vegetable (legume) galette. Both were so good, we cleaned our plates. The bacon was very nice and smoky, while the legume galette was heartwarming. For the sweet crĂȘpe, we ordered the Miel/Lavender something (my french, and my memory is horrid) and it was so interesting! The crĂȘpe was served drizzled with a unique type of honey, it had flower notes in its taste! The more I ate, the better it tasted. I wish I had had more space in my stomach to order the butter-lemon-sugar crĂȘpe. Will highly recommend this beautiful crĂȘperie to anyone who visits Sault đŸ„°

Denn man macht in Sault die Erfahrung, dass die Gastgeber in der Gastronomie wohl schon vor den HĂŒhnern den Tag beenden. Seltsam, woran das wohl liegt, da es gerade zur LavendelblĂŒthe und im Sommer nicht an Touristen und Radsportler fehlt? Die Lage direkt im Ort an der Kirche ist leicht abseits. So muss man das Lokal schon bewusst suchen. Einkehr lohnt sich. Immer wieder gerne.

Not a friendly experience. The owner seemed quite unfriendly and acted as though she didn’t want us to be there. The food was mediocre and expensive. Savoury pancakes are bland and over cooked except for the toppings. The sweet pancakes are much nicer. The best feature was the local lavender ice cream which is definitely...
