Restaurant la Cave 204 — Restaurant in Château-Thierry

Very nice dining experience at La Cave 204. We were 7 people's with various tastes and large appetites.

Useful info (2022-10-23: might need update at some point)... Edenred "ticket restaurant" is not accepted (even in weekdays and under 25€). Swile works (unless you come on Sunday). "Cheque vacances" is not accepted. The (very nice) owner said he would look into it.

We were the only group in this nice cave and could appreciate the very qualitative music setup and taste, as well as cosy décoration.

One more thing: as a vegetarian, I often regret that most restaurants just remove things from classic dishes to suit restrictions. In this restaurant, vegetarian dishes are awesome and we'll thought.

Veggie Lasagna is incredible and even beat regular one both in taste and portions.

Same goes for the flamen küche (which had even too many vegetables for my personal taste). But quality, texture, originality were definitely there.

This couple obviously puts a lot of effort into satisfying customers and widen their offer. They were friendly and I can only hope they are able to maintain similar experience when the restaurant has...

This place has been one of our favorite experiences in europe for our four years here. We ate at this restaurant 4 times over the years and everytime we walked away satisfied, full and happy about the meal. We have taken friends who absolutely loved it. The quality of the meats and cheeses as well as their ability to cook tasty and flavourful meals is worth a trip from out of town to try the food.

The family run atmosphere is great. And the small space in the restaurant gives it a wonderful ambiance and life to the space. Don't let the need to call ahead for a reservation deter you, they are able to communicate with you even if you don't speak French and are happy to accommodate. They just need to know you are coming so that they can make sure the restaurant is open for you since they run it beside...

This was an excellent choice for dinner! The Cave is perfect, the food is immaculate, the service is amazing. The owners and their son are incredible. So kind, accommodating and patient. We don’t speak French well, and they were kind and tolerant of our deficiency! We had all kinds of meat, cheese, wine and beer and it was all amazing! The best duck I have ever had.
