Le Bombay — Restaurant in Châteauroux

This is, I think, the Indre's only Indian restaurant. We ate very well here, the waiter speaks both French and English.

The set menu for 2 people at lunchtime was 48€ between us. We were very very full at the end of it and everything we had was really tasty. They cater for all tastes as I hate anything spicy and my OH loves spicy and this was not a problem for the restaurant as the main dishes are cooked to order.

We have now eaten here a second time and the food was just as good from a different menu.

We ordered the Bombay menu. This menu fits with people who are not familiar with the Indian kitchen. For us it was a bit all of the same where we are used to eat in Indian kitchen with lot of differend dices and spices. The price quality balance is okay. The service was not that good; we orded wine two times and had the remind the waiter both times to bring the wine. The waiters were more focusted on take away orders then...

First time here and it was excellent. The food was hot and spicy, the staff were really welcoming and the place was full giving a great atmosphere. Added bonus for us - they allowed us in with our dogs. We live four hours away but it will be worth the drive...
