La Spagheteria — Restaurant in Chambéry

Absolutely one of the worst restaurants you could go to. Went with locals who had great memories, pasta not cooked, not made in house, burger bun (the only thing made here) was raw and totally repulsive! Supposedly called a focaccia, I've never had uncooked bread (it defeats the purpose) I'd just finished a GR so was looking forward to it. Shocking service, asked twice for every command. Savoyardian specialties are an absolute joke! Charged extra for a salad and no ham with a Tartiflette, cashier not sorry at all. Tip to the owners, reduce your menu and work on making some really good dishes and slow down the service... Good luck! Maybe visit Italy once and see how they cook before trying to replicate...

Been there during a stop over with the family on our way to the southwest of France. As we needed a special diet (gluten free and vegetarian) some communication was necessary and this is where the trouble starts when your french is not on a decent level. The (younger) waitress was very rude and disrespectful. I have rarely felt so condescendingly treated by a person. She mumbled along in french and it was obviously not friendly and respectful. Bon accueil. Service agréable : serveuses charmantes et à l’écoute de leurs clients. Cependant, du point de vue de la « qualité » du repas, nous sommes plutôt déçus. En effet, nous avons commandé des pâtes à la carbonara, celles ci n’avaient que très peu de goût. On ne sentait pas le goût de lardon non plus. Idem pour les pâtes au saumon, avec que quelques morceaux de saumon trop salés. De plus, où était la sauce saumon ? Il n’y avait que le goût de pâtes à la crème finalement. Par ailleurs, les desserts accentuent encore plus cette déception. Le « fondant » au chocolat fait maison n’avait pas du tout l’air frais. En effet, il était « mastoc » et n’avait malheureusement pas vraiment le goût de chocolat et était semblable au gout des préparations de supermarchés. Dommage car il aurait pu être bien meilleur. La tarte au citron avait elle aussi l’air plus industrielle que faite maison ou alors pas fraîche. Nous sommes donc assez déçus, le rapport qualité prix n’étant pas du tout au rendez vous. Le burger était quand à lui réussi, mais ce qui est plutôt un comble pour un restaurant italien. Cependant, nous ne voulons pas que cet avis soit pris comme purement négatif. En effet, le lieu est très mignon et pourrait être beaucoup plus appréciable avec des plats un peu plus authentique...
