We saw the reviews on the internet and decided to give it a try. When we arrived the owner/chef/waiter was just opening up. We asked to see the menu and he said there isn't one and invited us in to take a seat and he would explain. So we did. The explanation was excellent, the food changes every day, everything is fresh and is cooked to order. We ordered some wine, the falafel for us both and the canteloupe melon stuffed with chopped/minced beef and the chicken in a savoury sauce. Everything was excellent. I have never experienced something quite like this. When they change the menu everyday you know that it’s going to be good food! They don’t use a freezer which means they are always serving fresh locally produced food. It’s more than just a restaurant with great food, it’s an experience owned by a man and his family who seem to care so much about the experience of each individual customer and are genuinely beautiful people. How a place can exist like this in a small town like Chaumont I have no idea... we are lucky to have them...

You wouldn’t expect to find a wonderful Egyptian restaurant in the heart of Chaumont - but here it is! Best falafel, gambas and moussaka we have ever had; lovely selection of natural fresh fruit drinks with optional rum added to the mix; great welcome from truly hospitable patrons; and lovely to see that so many of the clientele are well-known to the chef - if we lived near Chaumont we would be well- known in this restaurant too!
