We came here last year and it was good. We came again and it was not. We were a large party, we called ahead a long time in advance to make sure they were ready, and we arrived at 12:30. Over an hour later we were asked what we wanted to order. We were then told that almost nothing on the menu - and essentially nothing on the specials board - was available. Food came about two hours after first seating. Some people enjoyed it, others did not. My food was cabillaud but it was overcooked without any seasoning whatsoever, and a watery sauce with almost no seasoning whatsoever. It had been cooked by an incompetent chef with no understanding of cooking fish. Overall, I would not return even if the food was free. Coincidentally, in Carteret town ten minutes walk away, the Terminus street food market has at least five much better options for...

Breathtaking views on the beach and the sea, the perfect spot for a beer or a cocktail. This place has many faces, you can have a seafood lunch in the sun, a diner by the waves when the tide is high (make sure you book in advance when it is high tide, or it is likely you will not get a seat). You can also go out and dance and have a few drinks at night. The only downside is that the food is slightly too expensive and could be of better quality. If the food improves, this restaurant/bar would get 6 stars on my rating. A Truly unique atmosphere, if you are in the area, you would be seriously missing out if you...

Had lunch there today (august 4th) and felt compelled to write a Google review. Situation of the place is amazing and that's pretty much all there is. Food was inexpensive but kinda sub-par, the Carte definitely not what you would expect from such a place. Service was approximate at best, we had three different waiters over the course of an hour with one of them just completely forgetting one desert from our order. Did he listen at all ? We were speaking french of course. Beside the female waiter who was decent enough with us, the two other males were just snobs and not very polite...

It’s not possible to be impressed with les pommes frites, especially when they are made from frozen materials and are brought to your table with substantial delay. La Potinière had fantastic atmosphere owing to its unique location on the beach and, luckily, today’s favourable weather. The only food worth my attention were the oysters and the whelk; je suis connaisseur de fruits de mer. The selection of seafood on the menu is below par, the lobster I saw at other tables was unimpressive. The service was slow, the staff were forgetful and needed reminders. Très cher. I have no reason to come again.

The bar: this is what you expect a "Beach bar" to be. Simple, popular and well priced. All good! The restaurant: food is ok with maybe +20% for the magnificent setting. Not sure why they have added Thai dishes- better stick to the traditional local dishes- and why not a bit inspiration from our friends from the other side of the Channel. Good atmosphere with friendly service that make you feel very welcome.
