Torréfaction Dieppoise — Restaurant in Dieppe

The owner is very knowledgeable about coffee and beans. He explains in details the torrefaction process for the coffee beans, he even demonstrated. The shop has also a fantastic selection of tea. You can taste any beans you wish. My favourite is the blue mountain one. Coffee beans are grinded on demand for you. Sugar and small chocolate (75%) are served on your little plate. Strength of coffee/ short/ long can be requested....

Nice place to have a coffee in the sun. But maybe better to buy coffee or tea instead of having it. Cappuccino had very weird milk foam. NFC payments not possible and card only if the total is over 10 euros.

Edit: of course it's not with whipped cream. Cappuccino is made with microfoam of milk, not what I drank. You steam milk and try to avoid to have large bubbles of air in it. What I had was not properly...

As a barista I decided to stop by here when I was in Dieppe to avoid the terrible brasserie espressos. The owners were very lovely however the coffee wasn’t extracted properly at all :(. Just be careful this is not a specialty coffee shop, you’ll be better off getting a latte at any random café/bar for half...
